Terms and Policies for Clients

1. PETGO CARE PLATFORM - TERMS OF SERVICE

Effective Date: 03/01/2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PetGo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by Valera Tech LLC (“PetGo Care Platform,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform Description

PetGo Care Platform is an online marketplace that connects pet owners (“Clients”) with independent pet care providers (“Caregivers”) offering services such as pet sitting, boarding, walking, and overnight care. PetGo Care Platform acts solely as a technology platform facilitating connections between Clients and independent Caregivers. The Company does not directly provide pet care services and is not an employer of Caregivers.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, users must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain only one active account unless authorized
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

PetGo Care Platform reserves the right to refuse service, suspend accounts, or terminate access at its sole discretion.

3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials
  • All activity occurring under their account
  • Immediately notifying PetGo Care Platform of unauthorized use

PetGo Care Platform is not responsible for losses resulting from compromised accounts caused by user negligence.

4. Services and Bookings

Clients may request services through the Platform and Caregivers may accept or decline those requests. A booking becomes confirmed once accepted through the Platform. Service details, including timing, pricing, and location, are determined between the Client and Caregiver through the Platform interface.

5. Payments and Fees

Payments for services may be processed through third-party payment providers. PetGo Care Platform may charge:

  • Service fees
  • Processing fees
  • Cancellation fees where applicable

Users agree to pay all applicable charges at the time of booking or service completion.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds, credits, and cancellation fees are governed by the PetGo Care Platform Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference. Refund eligibility depends on the timing of cancellation and applicable service conditions. PetGo Care Platform reserves the right to issue partial refunds, credits, or other adjustments when necessary to resolve disputes or address exceptional circumstances.

7. Pet Behavior and Owner Responsibilities

Clients must disclose any known aggressive behavior, medical conditions, or special care requirements related to their pets before booking services. Failure to disclose relevant behavioral or medical information may result in account suspension or service refusal and may affect eligibility for refunds. Clients remain responsible for ensuring their pets are safe, properly restrained when required, and not a danger to caregivers or third parties.

8. User Conduct

Users agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Use the Platform for illegal purposes
  • Circumvent the Platform to avoid service fees after establishing contact
  • Upload malicious software or attempt to disrupt the Platform

Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or permanent termination.

9. Independent Contractor Relationship

Caregivers are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of PetGo Care Platform or Valera Tech LLC. The Company does not control the methods, manner, or performance of services provided by Caregivers.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valera Tech LLC and PetGo Care Platform shall not be liable for:

  • Injuries to pets or persons
  • Property damage
  • Losses arising from services performed by independent Caregivers
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from Platform use

Users acknowledge that use of the Platform and services arranged through it occurs at their own risk.

11. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Valera Tech LLC, PetGo Care Platform, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from User conduct, Violation of these Terms, Services arranged through the Platform, or Interactions between Clients and Caregivers.

12. Account Suspension and Termination

PetGo Care Platform reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently terminate accounts at any time if these Terms are violated, fraudulent or unsafe activity is suspected, required identity verification is not completed, or Platform rules or safety standards are breached.

13. Modifications to the Platform

PetGo Care Platform may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without prior notice. The Company is not liable for temporary or permanent interruptions of service.

14. Changes to Terms

PetGo Care Platform may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after updates are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law. Users agree to waive the right to participate in class action lawsuits against Valera Tech LLC or PetGo Care Platform related to Platform use.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

17. Account Deletion and Data Removal

Users have the right to request the deletion of their account and associated personal data at any time. Upon receiving a valid deletion request, PetGo Care Platform will:

  • Permanently delete the user’s account
  • Remove or anonymize personal data associated with the account, except where retention is required for legal, regulatory, tax, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution purposes.

Once the deletion process is completed, the account cannot be recovered, and users will lose access to all associated data, bookings, and history. Users may request account deletion through the Platform settings or by sending an email to info@joinpetgo.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request".

2. PETGO CARE PLATFORM - PRIVACY POLICY

This Privacy Policy describes how Valera Tech LLC, operating the PetGo Care Platform (“PetGo Care Platform,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collects, uses, and protects personal information when users access our mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when creating an account or using the Platform, including:

  • Full name, Email address, Phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Address or approximate location
  • Pet information (breed, size, temperament, health notes)
  • Identification or verification documents when required
  • Messages or communications sent through the Platform.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

  • Device information (device type, operating system, app version)
  • Log data and usage activity
  • IP address
  • App interaction data and performance metrics
  • Cookies or similar tracking technologies (for web-based services)

1.3 Location Information

With your permission, the PetGo Care Platform may collect approximate or precise location data from your device to help Clients find nearby Caregivers, display relevant service availability, and improve matching. Users may disable location services through their device settings; however, certain features may become limited.

1.4 Payment Information

Payments made through the Platform are processed by secure third-party payment processors, such as Stripe or similar providers. PetGo Care Platform does not store full credit or debit card numbers on its servers.

1.5 Camera Access

PetGo Care Platform may request access to the device camera to upload profile photos, capture images of pets, or provide photo updates during services. The camera is only accessed when the user explicitly chooses to use it within the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Connect Clients with Caregivers
  • Process bookings and payments
  • Provide customer support
  • Improve platform performance and user experience
  • Communicate service updates, confirmations, and security notifications
  • Detect fraud, abuse, or unsafe activity
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Information Sharing

The PetGo Care Platform does not sell personal information. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With Clients or Caregivers when necessary to complete bookings
  • With service providers that help operate the Platform
  • With legal authorities when required by law
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or business transfer involving Valera Tech LLC

4. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide platform services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Users may request deletion of their accounts, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.

5. Data Security

The PetGo Care Platform implements reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no digital system can guarantee absolute security.

6. User Rights

Depending on applicable laws, users may have the right to access their personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion of their data, or withdraw consent for certain data processing activities.

7. Children's Privacy

The PetGo Care Platform is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

8. Third-Party Services

The Platform may include links or integrations with third-party services. PetGo Care Platform is not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites.

9. Data Processing Location

Personal information collected through the Platform may be stored and processed in the United States. By using the Platform, users consent to the transfer and processing of their information in the United States.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

The PetGo Care Platform may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

3. PETGO CARE PLATFORM - PET CARE LIABILITY WAIVER

Effective Date: 03/01/2026

This Pet Care Liability Waiver (“Agreement”) applies to all services arranged through the PetGo Care Platform, operated by Valera Tech LLC. By booking, accepting, or providing pet care services through the Platform, users agree to the following terms.

1. Pet Health and Behavior Disclosure

The pet owner (“Client”) confirms that all information provided regarding the pet’s health, vaccination status, temperament, and behavioral history is accurate and complete. The Client agrees to disclose:

  • Any history of aggressive behavior or biting
  • Known medical conditions and special handling requirements
  • Medication instructions

Failure to provide accurate information may result in service cancellation or account suspension.

2. Emergency Veterinary Authorization

The Client authorizes the assigned Caregiver to seek emergency veterinary treatment if the pet becomes ill or injured while under the Caregiver’s supervision and the Client cannot be reached. The Client agrees to be financially responsible for all veterinary costs incurred.

3. Assumption of Risk

The Client acknowledges that pet care services involve inherent risks, including injury to pets, illness, property damage, and interaction risks with other animals. The Client voluntarily assumes these risks when booking services.

4. Independent Service Providers

Caregivers using the PetGo Care Platform are independent service providers. The Company acts solely as a technology intermediary and does not supervise or control the manner in which services are performed.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valera Tech LLC shall not be liable for injury, disappearance, or death of pets, damage to property, or indirect damages arising from the use of the Platform.

4. PETGO CARE PLATFORM - SAFETY & TRUST POLICY

Effective Date: 03/01/2026

At PetGo Care Platform, user safety, pet well-being, and platform trust are core priorities. While we implement safety measures, PetGo Care Platform acts solely as a technology intermediary and does not supervise the performance of services provided by Caregivers.

1. Identity Verification & Background Checks

PetGo Care Platform may require users to complete identity verification processes. Where permitted by law, we may partner with third-party providers to conduct background checks on Caregivers. Completion of a check does not guarantee user behavior.

2. Safety Guidelines for Users

For Clients: Provide accurate pet information, ensure pets are vaccinated, and clearly communicate special instructions.
For Caregivers: Follow client instructions, maintain appropriate supervision, and immediately report emergencies.

3. Reporting Safety Concerns

Users may report unsafe behavior or suspicious activity through in-app reporting tools. PetGo Care Platform may investigate reports and take appropriate action, including temporary suspension or permanent account removal.

4. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for exercising their own judgment and discretion when interacting with other users on the platform, including when granting access to homes or pets.

5. PETGO CARE PLATFORM CANCELLATION POLICY

1. Cancellation by the Pet Owner (24 Hours or More Before Service)

If a Pet Owner cancels a booking 24 hours or more before the scheduled service start time, they are eligible to receive a full refund to the original payment method, or 100% PetGo Care Platform Credit.

2. Cancellation by the Pet Owner (4–24 Hours Before Service)

If cancelled between 4 and 24 hours before the service, 75% will be issued to the Pet Owner as PetGo Care Platform Credit, and 25% will be paid to the Care Provider. No cash refund will be issued.

3. Late Cancellation & No-Show

Less Than 4 Hours: 50% issued as Credit to the Pet Owner, 50% paid to the Care Provider.
No-Show: No refund or credit will be issued. The Care Provider will receive the full service payment.

4. Cancellation by the Care Provider

If a Care Provider cancels a confirmed booking, the Pet Owner will receive a full refund or full PetGo Care Platform Credit. Repeated cancellations by a Care Provider may result in account suspension.
