1. Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the PetGo mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”), operated by Valera Tech LLC (“PetGo,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform Description

PetGo is an online marketplace that connects pet owners (“Clients”) with independent pet care providers (“Caregivers”) offering services such as pet sitting, boarding, walking, and overnight care. PetGo does not directly provide pet care services and is not an employer of Caregivers.

2. Eligibility

To use the Platform, users must: be at least 18 years old, provide accurate and complete registration information, maintain only one active account unless authorized, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.

3. User Accounts

Users are responsible for: maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials, all activity occurring under their account, and immediately notifying PetGo of unauthorized use. PetGo is not responsible for losses resulting from compromised accounts caused by user negligence.

4. Services and Bookings

Clients may request services and Caregivers may accept or decline them. A booking becomes confirmed once accepted through the Platform. Service details, including timing, pricing, and location, are determined between Client and Caregiver through the Platform interface.

5. Payments and Fees

Payments for services may be processed through third-party payment providers. PetGo may charge: Service fees, Processing fees, and Cancellation fees where applicable. Users agree to pay all applicable charges at the time of booking or service completion.

6. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation terms may vary based on timing and service type. Refund eligibility is determined according to the applicable cancellation policy shown at the time of booking. PetGo reserves the right to issue partial or full refunds at its discretion to resolve disputes.

7. User Conduct

Users agree not to: provide false or misleading information; harass, threaten, or harm other users; use the Platform for illegal purposes; circumvent the Platform to avoid service fees after establishing contact; upload malicious software or attempt to disrupt the Platform. Violation may result in suspension or permanent account termination.

8. Independent Contractor Relationship

Caregivers are independent service providers and are not employees, agents, or representatives of PetGo or Valera Tech LLC. PetGo does not control the manner in which services are performed.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Valera Tech LLC shall not be liable for: injuries to pets or persons, property damage, losses arising from services performed by independent Caregivers, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from Platform use. Users agree that they use the Platform at their own risk.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify and hold harmless Valera Tech LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from: user conduct, violation of these Terms, or services arranged through the Platform.

11. Account Suspension and Termination

PetGo reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time if: these Terms are violated, fraudulent or unsafe activity is suspected, or required identity verification is not completed.

12. Modifications & Governing Law

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time without prior notice. These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

2. Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Valera Tech LLC, operating the PetGo platform (“PetGo,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), collects, uses, and protects personal information when users access our mobile application, website, and related services.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide: We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including: full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, address or approximate location, pet information (breed, size, health notes), identification documents, and messages sent through the platform.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information: Device information (type, OS), log data, IP address, approximate geographic location, and tracking technologies.

1.3 Payment Information: Payments are processed through secure third-party processors. PetGo does not store full credit or debit card numbers on its servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to: create/manage accounts, connect clients with caregivers, process bookings, provide support, improve platform performance, communicate updates, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share information only with caregivers/clients to complete bookings, service providers (hosting, analytics), legal authorities when required, or in connection with a business transfer involving Valera Tech LLC.

4. Data Security & Retention

We implement reasonable safeguards designed to protect personal information. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide services, comply with laws, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

3. Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the scheduled service will receive a full 100% refund.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the service will be charged a 50% cancellation fee.
  • If a sitter fails to arrive, a full refund will be issued immediately.
